Mr. Kimball's Science

7th Grade Scientific Methods

This unit is the heart of science. We will use these words and ideas everyday in class for the whole year. There are many ways to do science, so it's important that you learn how to think like a scientist rather than memorize a list that only works part of the time.

Objectives

2.1 Describe and apply the scientific method.
2.2 Analyze data to write an appropriate lab conclusion.
2.3 Explain what "theory" means in science.
2.4 Make and interpret graphs.
2.5 Plan a controlled experiment.
2.6 Identify variables and describe relationships between them.
2.7 List the main scientific principles and give an example of each.
